Software Engineer

Frisco, TX

The Software Engineer works as part of a team to design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable enterprise 3-tier applications using C# and .Net and works closely with our program/product/project managers, web developers, database developers, and other software engineers to develop new features for our online applications. The successful candidate will be an energetic self-starter ready for the opportunity to advance MDConnection's website platform.

Responsibilities:

  • › Design, develop, and maintain the software supporting product features for our various online applications
  • › Work with other software engineers, technical program managers, and project managers to develop technical specifications and project plans
  • › Create and maintain relevant technical documentation
  • › Execute within, and help manage, the company’s software development lifecycle
  • › Assist in the configuration and support of development, staging, and production servers
  • › Oversee and own several projects
  • › Identify new technologies which will enhance applications and development processes

Qualifications:

  • › 5+ years of practical experience in the development of commercial-grade web-based software applications using C# and ASP.Net
  • › Exceptional understanding of the .NET Framework, specifically C# and ASP .Net
  • › Solid development experience with the presentation and middle tiers of a three-tier architecture
  • › Experience developing services within a Service Oriented Architecture
  • › Good understanding of SOAP, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Web Services
  • › Experience in software lifecycles, software configuration management, and change control
  • › Ability to identify, prioritize and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines
  • › Consistent record of success working with software engineers
  • › Proven ability to deliver results
  • › Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • › Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related computer development field
  • › Good understanding of SQL server and database interaction
  • › Experience in building and working with windows services
  • › Experience building multi-threaded applications
  • › Experience in debugging and problem-solving complex systems
  • › Experience with a variety of programming languages and databases
  • › Experience with medical billing or related software
